New patch being released
Wooooo! The Shadow Queen said that, as an inside joke, she was wearing this around the school library in the guise of her mild mannered alter ego, and didn't believe anyone would recognize that she was the wild eyed singer on her own shirt. Apparently no one did, or at least we haven't heard otherwise just yet. I want one of these!!! Who else wants a patch like this to sew on your favorite hoodie???

More personally: I feel I should explain to you something about where I am, and the real feelings that tied into this song. My mother came to the U.S. with $50 in her pocket and worked her whole life, raising me alone, after my father left when I was five. I grew up with a strong, smart, extremely hard-working woman as my role model. She gave up so much of her own ambitions hoping her daughter would achieve more one day. She came from a country where her class was hated by the ruling party and many of our family were beaten by police or simply disappeared. We could not stay innocent and stand by, hoping for a white knight to save us.
I've been working on Psyche Corporation since 2005 and performing since 2007, and many of you have wondered what else I do. I have been in a graduate program for almost 3 years and haven't stopped performing or working on music in that time. You know. You've seen my shows, you know they're still happening. In China, my mother was forbidden from participating in art and music for fear of it seeming too Western and facing more persecution from the police. An entire generation lived in fear of their own dreams. My mother hoped I could go on to follow my dreams when she had to give hers up to take care of me.
I still remember my father telling me in high school that I should be a secretary, and that ambitious women cannot be happy, because men will not like them. I have nothing against secretaries, but at the time I wanted to do music and build replacement body parts. That was too ambitious, he thought. Even now, there are still men and boys who obliquely imply to me that they would prefer a girl with simpler dreams and less ambition. But I believe there is happiness out there for hard-working women, and I believe you shouldn't have to be ashamed of suffering in your past or apologize for your ambition. There are thousands of us out there, and we will be loved by the people who are not afraid of a life less simple.

Psyche corporation Donates a Sound Track to a Visual Kei J-Rock Fan Project for Versailles!

North American Revolution helped promote this birthday for project for Kamijo [lead singer and producer for Versailles Philharmonic Quintet - Visual Kei J-rock band from Tokyo] in cooperation with KamiSpanish and some independent fans. The [soundtrack] music is from a group I help promote, Psyche Corporation, used legally with their permission. I am a member of their Southern street team in the US. I hope you enjoy it!
